Digital Recording Systems
Daley Securities supply or supply and fit recording systems using
either SD cards or hard disks (HD) as the recording device.
SD Card Systems
SD Card systems use cameras that take an SD card. These
systems come with one or two cameras and can therefore monitor
two views. Typically a two camera system is mounted on the
windscreen recording the view through the windscreen and
also recording the driver. The system records onto the SD
card in a loop so that the most recently recorded information
is kept. The amount recorded is determined by the size of
the SD card memory and whether one or two cameras are being
used.
Additionally SD Card systems sense sudden braking incidents
and the recording from either side of the incident are separately
retained on the SD card. Multiple incidents are retained
on the SD Card memory.
SD Card systems are typically fitted without a monitor
in the vehicle. In this scenario playback is achieved by
removing the SD card and played back on a computer in the
office.
HD Recording Systems
Similar to SD Card systems, these hard disk based solutions
support both more cameras and also a longer recording period.
The hard drive is in a cassette and is removed from the vehicle
and connected to a computer in the office for playback.
